Dr. Sarah Lidstone is a movement disorders neurologist and the Director of the Integrated Movement Disorders Program at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. She is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Toronto.

Bio

Dr. Lidstone completed her residency in neurology and her fellowship in movement disorders at the University of Toronto. Prior to this, she completed her PhD in Neuroscience at the University of British Columbia, studying the placebo effect in Parkinson’s Disease. She is the Co-Chair of the Functional Neurological Disorders Society Education Committee.

Speaking Focus

Her research focuses on developing and testing novel rehabilitation therapies using the integration of physical and mental health. She recently gave a TED talk, “It’s all in your head,” about mind-body integration in medicine.
